Everyone at some time experiences feelings of depression, loneliness, or despair. These feelings can lead us to believe that we are isolated from everyone else and can no longer find joy in our life.
But moment to moment our state of mind is changing, which means our emotions change with it. This continual rise and fall of our mental state includes feelings of sadness and depression. When we are in the middle of despair, it feels like it will last forever.
In this series, we will explore how to use Buddhist meditation to skillfully dissolve depression and soften the heaviness created by this mind. Through meditating specifically on love and compassion, we will gradually become lighter and more positive, and we will open the doorway to a new, happier experience of life.
